The AEGTE Bench (authentic) refers to nature as a primordial constant, a truth value.
As an object, the AEGTE Bench consists of five letters; five to challenge the linguistic and value-based connotations and construction of concepts of authenticity.
Over time, the bench will change and, in doing so, also become a depiction of the relativity of concepts of authenticity. Authenticity as a concept persists, but its content and references change in parallel with the passage of historical time.
The AEGTE bench is, first and foremost, what it is: a bench. It symbolizes that moment of pause, that shared third space, which we as individuals seek in various contexts: love, religion, ideologies, dogmas, as passionate activists, soccer fans, etc.
