The nature and art at Deep Forest Art Land need to be developed, tended, and nurtured. That’s why we need a wide range of talents and skills. Here, you can meet the team that ensures the forest is always inspiring, surprising, and a pleasant place to explore.
Søren Taaning
Director and co-founder
Søren and René came up with the idea for Deep Forest Art Land. Today, Søren is responsible for both our day-to-day operations and the development of the forest. He works on strategy, finance, and partnerships.
René Schmidt
Art Curator and Co-Founder
René and Søren co-founded Deep Forest Art Land in 2010. Today, René’s role is to ensure that the art in the forest is both of high quality and capable of engaging in a dialogue with the natural environment for which the works were created. René works closely with the artists who create works in the forest.

Kristina is responsible for our outreach efforts regarding art and nature at Deep Forest Art Land. She also oversees events and other activities in the forest—as well as all our collaborations with partners outside the forest.

For example, she makes sure the trails are clear, that trash and restrooms are properly managed, and that tables and benches are always ready for those of you who bring a picnic basket.
