Deep Forest Art Land is an open-air nature and cultural destination.

Here you’ll find information about trails, terrain, facilities, and places to stay, so you can plan your visit based on your needs. We’re constantly working to reduce barriers and make the forest accessible to as many people as possible.

If you have any questions or would like to know more about the trail, the facilities, or current conditions in the forest, please feel free to contact us before your visit.

We'd be happy to help you find the solution that works best for you.

The path through the forest

Approx. 4.5 km • Can be divided into two sections • Map at the entrance

The entire experience is tied together by a single, clearly marked route of about 4.5 km, which makes it easy to find your way and return to the starting point.

You can familiarize yourself with the route map and download our visitor brochure from home. When you arrive at the forest, you can also pick up a printed map from the information area by the parking lot.

→ Download the visitor brochure with a map of the route

You can choose to walk the entire route or split it into two parts:

Nordskoven · approx. 2.5 km
Nordskoven is more hilly and may feel more physically demanding. Here, you’ll walk through hills, denser wooded areas, and higher vantage points.

Sydskoven · approx. 2.5 km
Sydskoven features gentler terrain with meadows, streams, and more open stretches. Here, you can choose the route and pace that best suit you.

Base

Hard surface • Stable base • No snow removal in winter

The entire trail ispaved with a solid base of crushed brick, which provides a stable surface year-round.

Please note, however, that snow is not cleared during the winter months.

Breaks and Stops

Two picnic shelters • Table-and-bench sets • Space for both quiet time and socializing

There are plenty of opportunities to take a break along the way in the forest—both places where you can gather as a group and places where you can enjoy the peace and quiet.

Use the rest stops to rest, eat, or get your bearings before continuing your trip.

We have two covered picnic shelters:

→ The Sculptor's Garden

→ The Gothic Quarter

Public Facilities

Two composting toilets • Ramp access

We have two composting toilets at the parking lot and inthe Gothic Quarter

Both restrooms have ramp access, plenty of space, andcan be used by guests in wheelchairs or with walkers.

The experience may vary in intensity

Quietest on weekday mornings • More visitors during events

Art in nature can be both serene and evocative—and on some days, more lively than others.

During busy times, there may be more people and more activity.

Weekday mornings are usually the quietest time to visit the forest.
