Instant Building Systems, better known as I.B.S., is a system of building components. It was developed to improve the appearance of public housing. It was created by a highly idealistic and left-leaning faction. They clearly viewed I.B.S. as a bulwark against the ravages of private speculators and their lax approach to safety regulations and aesthetic standards.

The Artist

Jesper Dalgaard

Jesper Dalgaard is a Danish visual artist. He graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2001. His works often explore the idea of starting over. He has made a name for himself in the art world with miniature models of planets and dystopian sci-fi landscapes, among other things, and later with life-size sculptures.
