Master Baby

Motherload

On a tornado compressed with all manner of column motifs, an endless, otherworldly movement, the Master Baby is presented inside a giant seashell. This is not the Birth of Venus—on the contrary, the mother is absent. Here, it is the newly created, rich genetics that are decadently presented, with a stylized pineapple serving as a landmark.
Master Baby is a sculpture by British artist Emma Sheridan. It was created for the 2018 exhibition Motherload.
