Motherload is an area in the southern part of Deep Forest Art Land.

Here you’ll find works of art nestled among fruit trees, forest trails, and open clearings. Some works are hidden among the trees, while others stand in the middle of the landscape, waiting to be discovered.

The works here explore and engage with motherhood, family, care, and the bonds that connect people. Motherload is also a place in flux, where new works, stories, and plants will take root in the years to come.

The area is under development

Motherload is an ongoing project. Some works are already in place, while others are temporarily absent from the landscape or are under development and will return. At the same time, new artworks, stories, and plantings are being added, which will become part of the area’s next chapter.

You can view the current works below and read more about the area’s development further down the page.

An area under development

Since the area was established in 2018, works of art, landscaping, and narratives have evolved in harmony with one another. The area will continue to change in the years to come. New works will be added, the landscaping will evolve, and some works will be relocated as part of the area’s ongoing development.

One example is Skilteskoven, which has been temporarily taken down as part of the area’s development and is scheduled to be rebuilt in Motherload.
