"Tattooed Urn" was installed in 2017. It is a permanent sculpture at Deep Forest Art Land. It is 175 cm tall and situated on an artificial mound in a clearing.
The designs on the side of the sculpture are inspired by extremist and gang-related tattoos.

The Artist
Hesselholdt & Mejlvang
Hesselholdt & Mejlvang is an artist duo consisting of the Danish visual artists Sofie Hesselholdt (b. 1974) and Vibeke Mejlvang (b. 1976). Both graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2006.
They often address concepts such as gender, race, and national identity, which frequently makes their works a subtle and engaging critique of the sociocultural, political, and psychological reality that surrounds us.
