FREE. PREMIERE. Have you seen the ruins in the forest? Come experience a musical performance installation. The premiere is on Friday, July 24, and there will be a performance on Saturday, July 25—on both days at 2:00 p.m., you can encounter characters from another world who have sought refuge among the ruins. Through song, music, and movement, they attempt to create a new society and find a path toward a future that does not yet exist.
A Community Amid Ruins
RUINERNE is a multidisciplinary performance installation created by Filip Vest and Kai Merke. In Nordskoven, visitors to the forest are invited into a world where music and storytelling merge with performance. Here we meet characters who, for various reasons, have sought refuge among the ruins and who, together, are trying to build a new community and find a path toward a future that does not yet exist.
The work draws on the traditions of fantasy, science fiction, and role-playing games, in which magic is experienced as something that exists side by side with everyday life. The audience is invited into a universe that is both alien and familiar—and that explores how we imagine other ways of being together.
